This season’s program as published so far has been cancelled
We are already developing new artistic formats for you!
Dear Sir or Madam, dear members of the audience,
On 5 May 2020, the Ministry of Science, Research and Art informed the Staatstheater Stuttgart that the program regarding the 2019-20 season’s coming weeks, which has so far been published, cannot take place due to the Corona pandemic. This means that all previously announced performances and accompanying programs have to be cancelled. Until further notice, ticket sales for the current season remain suspended until the end of this season.
Until the beginning of the summer break, however, the Staatstheater Stuttgart’s three branches – Staatsoper Stuttgart, The Stuttgart Ballet and Schauspiel Stuttgart – plan to offer newly developed artistic formats which will soon be presented to the public. These new formats will take place in accordance with the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg’s current regulations and in consultation with the City of Stuttgart’s Health Authority, with due consideration of the present regulations of hygiene and social distancing.
We are looking forward to seeing you again in the not so distant future!

All tickets for called-off performances are cancelled free of charge
All tickets for performances that have already been booked or those subscription dates that now can no longer be realized will be cancelled free of charge. If your ticket has been purchased via personal bank details you do not have to take any further action. If you have purchased your ticket either online via credit card or directly at the ticket office, we advise you to make use of the respective online formula.That also applies to subscription holders whose payment is made via bank transfer as the exact value of the performance cancelled will be reimbursed within the stated time.
Please be assured that our service team will deal with the matter at hand as quickly as possible. Should you consider, however, to waive your right for reimbursement in favor of the John Cranko School’s scholarship program or one of our theatre divisions, we would like to sincerely thank you for it. We regularly review the official laws and regulations and will keep you updated comprehensively and in a timely fashion as soon as any new information is available.
Online bookings currently not possible
It is currently not possible to book tickets for performances; the online ticket shop is closed until further notice.
