The Flying Dutchman is doomed to roam the sea forever without rest. Every seven years he is allowed to come to shore in order to find a loving and faithful woman. That will break the curse. When Senta who feels like a stranger amongst her own people falls in love with the Dutchman, she desperately wants to help him. But he is in doubt about her true feelings. We perform Wagner's opera in its original version from 1841.
