Music, Talk and Inspiration
What does migration sound like?
The event is an interactive programme that focuses on music and the stories of people with a migrant background. Through live performances, discussions and participatory elements, it brings to life how music shapes a sense of home, identity, and social and cultural participation. Local musicians, academic perspectives and personal narratives come together to spark a lively dialogue about migration and living together in Germany. Music becomes the language of memory, exchange and connection between generations and communities. The focus centres on the music of those who migrated to Germany during the 1950s, 60s and 70s following the so-calles "guest worker agreement".
