Academy 2030

Young Professionals at the Staatsoper Stuttgart
The Academy 2030 of the Staatsoper Stuttgart is a forward-looking association of young personalities to question the working world in the current theater business and at the same time to think in a model way for the future. The Academy 2030 forms a bridge between training and professional life and accompanies young professionals in their first steps - be it on or behind the stage, hopefully soon also in the areas of stage direction, music theater mediation and cultural management. It is a platform for lively exchange and a place for networking, while also offering further training and additional qualifications. With the Academy 2030, we are making an important contribution to securing young talent at an excellent level.
With special thanks to
The International Opera Studio of the Staatsoper Stuttgart
The first building block of the academy is the Staatsoper's International Opera Studio, which was founded in 2010 and in which eight young singers are trained as soloists for the opera stage: a "trainee program" for singers who have completed their vocal studies, who can develop their voice and artistic personality in a healthy balance between the singing profession on the big stage and top-class master classes, coaching and special pedagogical support. These singers are given the opportunity to take their first formative career steps under the patronage of ensemble members Catriona Smith and Diana Haller and in collaboration with the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts.
