For Families

Children and teenagers pay only 10 € on all seats!
Family performances
For family performances, children and young people under 18 accompanied by their parents, grandparents or godparents pay 10 € on all seats in the Opera House. These children's family tickets are only issued in conjunction with at least one adult family ticket. A mixture of price categories is unfortunately not possible, unless the seats are next to each other.
FAMILY INTRODUCTIONS
At all family performances in the opera house, with exception of the silent-film-concert City Lights, we offer an introduction for the whole family 45 minutes before the start in the 1st tier foyer, where you can not only learn interesting facts about the production and its staging, but also get active yourself.

Achim Freyer's now legendary scandalous production from 1980 exposes the nightmarish quality that so often hides beneath the trivialized folkloric - then as now.
