GLOW is an open invitation to discover opera and music theatre from new perspectives. Whether you are joining a rehearsal, taking a backstage tour, meeting artists, sharing your thoughts after a performance or creating something of your own, GLOW brings you closer to the people, ideas and processes behind the stage.

We believe that opera is not a one-way conversation. It comes alive through curiosity, exchange and shared experience. That is why we create spaces for people to take part, ask questions, contribute their own perspectives and feel at home in the opera house – whether they know the art form well or are encountering it for the first time.

Our programme is for people of all ages and backgrounds: school groups and teachers, students, apprentices and trainees, families, children, older audiences, first-time visitors and lifelong opera lovers. At Staatsoper Stuttgart and JOiN, generations and experiences meet – and everyone is invited to be part of the conversation.

You can come to us, or we can come to you: to your school, university, community centre, association or local venue. Many of our formats can be combined, and most of our activities are free of charge.
