Ugly as hell explores the dark side of beauty where wellness becomes compulsion because the body must always be beautiful, young, fit and flawless. A search for liberation from the pretensions of a world full of fillers and filters begins. The performance attempts to open up spaces beyond the compulsion to fulfil expectations – and asks the question: what could reconciliation sound like with a body that is never perfect enough and with a gaze that is constantly measuring it?
