Die lange Nacht der Musik von Zuhause
What does music from home sound like? Following on from the premiere of Sara Glojnarić’s opera Station Paradiso, the musicians of the Staatsorchester Stuttgart will explore this question in a variety of ways during the “Lange Nacht“ in cooperation with Landesmuseum Württemberg, Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg and Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart. Various ensembles will perform works by Caroline Shaw, Bohuslav Martinů, Leonard Bernstein, and others in the museums’ exhibitions. Music from Romania and songs from Georgia will meet sounds from Latin America and the USA.
In an interactive premiere by Mert Moralı, former fellow at the Akademie Schloss Solitude, the movements of the audience are transformed into music. At the end of this journey through different musical worlds, DJ AfroPunk will be playing chill beats at the Württembergischer Kunstverein.
