Agathe MacQueen

The artist Agathe MacQueen studied stage and costume design at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts. Her work has taken her to the Semperoper Dresden, Staatsoper Hannover, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Schauspiel Leipzig, Mecklenburgische Staatstheater, Staatsschauspiel Dresden, Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, Staatstheater Saarbrücken and Braunschweig, Teatru Animacji Jelenia Góra, and Schauspielhaus Wien, among others. She has worked with directors Damiano Michieletto, Michael Talke, Eva Lange, Thomas Köck, Alberto Villarreal, Tilo Krügel, Nicolai Sykosch, Mirja Biel, Bruno Cathomas, Julia Sontag, and the collectives “machina eX.” and “Glossy Pain,” among others. In her own artistic practice, she moves at the intersection of visual arts, theater, and performance. Since 2019, she has been a lecturer in the stage and costume design program at the HfBK Dresden.
