Gastspiel: Elektra (concertante)

The Staatsoper Stuttgart as a guest in Paris and Cologne: How does Richard Strauss' large-scale Elektra sound under the direction of GMD Cornelius Meister at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris - a venerable theater building just as old as the Stuttgart Opera House? You can find out at the end of April at our concert guest performance! This will be followed on the Whitsun weekend by a guest performance in the Philharmonie in the cathedral city of Cologne. As with the performances in Stuttgart and the guest performance in Paris, the three major female roles in Cologne are also wonderfully well cast with Iréne Theorin in the title role, Simone Schneider and Violeta Urmana.
