Götterdämmerung

by Richard Wagner
Third day of the stage festival The Ring of the Nibelung in three lifts
Poetry by the composer
in german with german and english surtitles
The view of the world is fragmented. Even the Norns, who ensure that past, present and future interlock in a proper and meaningful way, are no longer able to put the individual fragments together. At the beginning of Götterdämmerung, truth disintegrates into visions. In the fourth part of Wagner’s multi-perspective Ring des Nibelingen in Stuttgart, director Marco Štorman and General Music Director Cornelius Meister explore the various stories that make up Götterdämmerung, bringing the Ring to its end - and to its beginning.
