144 meters above Stuttgart: Staatsoper goes Fernsehturm
Culture at the highest level – quite literally.
The long-standing KULTURM event series has always brought exceptional culture to a unique venue: the SWR TV Tower in Stuttgart. With HÖCHSTKULTUR, a new format is now being launched as part of the series in collaboration with the Staatsoper Stuttgart.
At a height of 144 meters, Stuttgart’s highest stage is the setting for extraordinary musical experiences. Singers from the Staatsoper Stuttgart bring their voices to a place that is something special itself – high above the rooftops of Stuttgart, immediate, surprising, and in unique proximity to the audience.
The name says it all: HÖCHSTKULTUR combines the venue’s extraordinary height with art and culture of the highest level, Here, art finds a new space, a new perspective, and an atmosphere of its own.
Not a traditional opera stage. Not an ordinary concert evening. Rather, special musical encounters, created specifically for this venue and this one evening.
