"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!" ["Alles, was Odem hat, lobe den Herrn!"] – With this exuberant expression of gratitude to the Creator, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy composed his Symphony-Cantata, which would go on to become one of his most famous works. This piece takes center stage at this benefit concert: Following the overwhelming success of two previous performances in recent years, members of the State Opera Chorus and the State Orchestra, under the musical direction of Manuel Pujol, will once again perform at the Evangelische Johanneskirche am Feuersee. In addition to the "Lobgesang" in a version for chamber orchestra, the program will also feature two touching choral compositions by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Anton Bruckner.
