Robin Hood

Family Concert

by Thomas Dorsch
Robin Hood – the avenger of the poor and underdogs. This tireless fighter for justice takes center stage in the Stuttgart State Opera's family concert. His story is told by Jens Wawrczeck, known for over forty years from the radio play series Die drei ???, as the voice of the second detective Peter Shaw. The Robin Hood music by Thomas Dorsch, played by the Stuttgart State Orchestra, is impressive. The suspenseful sounds conjure up images of this story in the imagination. Robin Hood – a musical adventure for young and old.

Jens Wawrczeck

Jens Wawrczeck gained experience on the stage of the Hamburg Kammerspiele and in front of the microphones of Norddeutscher Rundfunk while still at school. One of his first radio play roles was Krümel in Die Brüder Löwenherz. In addition to his permanent work at NDR, Jens Wawrczeck was also discovered for dubbing, television and various non-public radio play productions, for example he spoke Mowgli in The Jungle Book. In 1978, Heikedine Körting cast him as the second detective Peter Shaw in a series that has long since achieved cult status and has delighted an audience of millions for almost forty years: Die drei ???. In 2016, he and his colleagues received the special German Audiobook Award for this role. After training as an actor in Hamburg, Vienna and New York, Jens Wawrczeck has always made a point of diversifying his field of activity. As a stage actor, he was awarded the Bad Hersfeld Prize (for Edgar in Shakespeare's King Lear) and in recent years has appeared in roles as diverse as Shakespeare's Bleichenwang in Was ihr wollt, the Saxon Heinrich Meisel in Die spanische Fliege, the child murderer in M - eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder, Mandelstam in Sternheim's Die Hose, Dr. Pfeffer in Leon de Winter's Anne and the monk in Lessing's Nathan der Weise.
