Children and teenagers pay only 10 € on all seats!
Family performances
For family performances, children and young people up to 15 years accompanied by their parents, grandparents or godparents pay 10 € on all seats in the opera house. These children’s family tickets are only issued in conjunction with at least one adult family ticket. A mixture of price categories is unfortunately not possible, unless the seats are next to each other.
FAMILY INTRODUCTIONS
At all family performances in the opera house, we offer a german introduction for the whole family 45 minutes before the start in the foyer I. floor, where you can not only learn interesting facts about the production and its staging, but also get active yourself.

The Robber Hotzenplotz
First the robber Hotzenplotz steals grandmother’s new coffee grinder, then Hotzenplotz lures Seppel and Kasperl into a trap taking them both prisoners. What’s more, the villain then sells poor Kasperl to the great and evil magician Petrosilius Zwackelmann – or is it Seppel he is selling? It does not matter. In any case, it takes a fair amount of courage, magic and the combined help by the audience to rescue the two friends.

The Gold Rush
After Modern Times and City Lights, Cornelius Meister and the Staatsorchester Stuttgart continue their Chaplin silent film cycle with The Gold Rush, bringing the Hollywood sound directly back to the Littmann-Bau. Chaplin composed the music himself and also includes classics such as Rimsky-Korsakov’s Flight of the Bumblebee, Wagner’s “Oh, du mein holder Abendstern“ and Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty Waltz. A film experience with live music as a third dimension.
