The opera house is haunted! Strange noises are coming from the basement, the clocks are going haywire, and no one seems to know what’s behind it all. Luckily, help is on the way: Detective Clara Fall picks up the trail and sets out to solve the mystery.
How convenient that, of all times, the opening concert is setting the tone for the new season right in the middle of her investigation – and offering Clara plenty of opportunities to strike up conversations with potential witnesses. While the Staatsorchester and singers from the Staatsoper Stuttgart ensemble present the upcoming season with a varied program, a camera follows the detective on her thrilling mission through the opera house.
Behind many a door, she encounters well-known opera characters such as Edgardo from Lucia di Lammermoor or Musetta from La Bohème. Her search for clues also leads her to artists who offer insights into productions such as Lady Macbeth of Mzensk, Der Rosenkavalier, and the world premiere of Die drei ??? und das Spiegelkabinett. Along the way, Clara gathers clue after clue – but will they be enough to unravel the opera house’s secret?
